In the Veneto countryside, an old barchessa has been converted to make a young entrepreneur's home. The project aimed to preserve the charm and the sentiment of the gone time and the rural soul.
It was maintained what was possible to maintain, the envelope above all, limiting ourselves to repairing the structures and restoring the roof to tables. Also the exposed brick surfaces have been recovered and, where necessary, integrated with recycled materials.
The restructuring has identified a new distribution structure characterized by fluid spaces, uninterrupted environments characterized by the absence of doors; redesigned the spaces, the interior design has combined elements of contemporary design with modern objects and works of art.
The protagonist of the house is the chimney with the black chimney that continues, crossing the mezzanine, up to the roof.
